*Onedrive Sync On Mac

There are two basic ways that you, as an admin, can deploy the OneDrive sync app to Mac users in your organization:

*

Have users install and set up the OneDrive sync app themselves by following the instructions in Sync files with OneDrive on Mac OS X. To install the OneDrive sync app for Mac, a user has to be administrator on the Mac or know an administrator account name and password.

*

Download the installer package file to your local network, and then use your software distribution tools to deploy the app to your users. By using a software distribution tool, you have more control over the deployment, including which users get the sync app and when. The OneDrive sync app for Mac uses the Apple Installer technology for installation. This means you can use the software distribution tools that you normally use to deploy software to Mac users. You can use Microsoft Intune. Other common tools are Jamf Pro, Munki, and AutoPkg. You can also use Apple Remote Desktop and AppleScript.

Access all your OneDrive files in Windows 10 without taking up space on your PC. Document scanning. Use your mobile device to scan and store documents, receipts, business cards, notes, and more in OneDrive. Personal Vault. Store important files and photos with an added layer of protection in OneDrive. Login to OneDrive with your Microsoft or Office 365 account.Manage OneDrive settings on macOS using property list (Plist) files

After the OneDrive sync app for Mac is installed, users can configure settings for the app. These settings are called preferences. As an admin, you might want to provide users in your organization with a standard set of preferences. Preferences for the OneDrive sync app for Mac are stored in preference files. These files are often referred to as .plist files.StandaloneMac App StorePList Location ~/Library/Preferences/com.microsoft.OneDrive.plist ~/Library/Containers/com.microsoft.OneDrive-mac/Data/Library/Preferences/com.microsoft.OneDrive-mac.plist Domain com.microsoft.OneDrive com.microsoft.OneDrive-mac Configure sync app settings

Configure the settings on macOS in the typical way:

*

Quit the OneDrive application.

*

Define the settings you want to change by creating a Plist with the values, or use a script to set the default values.

*

Deploy the settings onto the local computer.

*

Refresh the preferences cache.

On the next start of OneDrive, the new settings will be picked up.Overview of settings

Use the following keys to preconfigure or change settings for your users. The keys are the same whether you run the standalone or Mac App Store edition of the sync app, but the property list file name and domain name will be different. When you apply the settings, make sure to target the appropriate domain depending on the edition of the sync app.SettingDescriptionParametersExample Plist EntryDisable personal accounts Blocks users from signing in and syncing files in personal OneDrive accounts. You can also configure the OneDrive Standalone sync app to receive delayed updates.PList Location ~/Library/Preferences/com.microsoft.OneDriveUpdater.plist Domain com.microsoft.OneDriveUpdater SettingDescriptionParametersExample Plist EntryTier Defines the update ring for the computer UpdateRing (String): This parameter has two different values.  Production - The default update ring for OneDrive updates.  Insiders - This update ring receives updates that are 'pre-production' and will allow you to play with features before they are released. Note that builds from this ring may be less stable.  Enterprise - This update ring (now called 'Deferred') receives updates after they have rolled out through the Production ring. It also lets you control the deployment of updates. For more info about the update rings and how the sync app checks for updates, see The OneDrive sync app update process. <key>Tier</key>  <string>(UpdateRing)</string>

I completely agree. I had a personal onedrive account and a business onedrive account. (skydrive, onedrive, onedrive for business, etc.the constant name changes are a joke within and of themselves.) Then Microsoft, in their infinite wisdom, decided to merge the two. I am now no longer working for that company.

What a conflict! Not sure how my former company will use my old email address account (which is generic to the position I worked in and will be used for the next person in my position). If they do, I guess that person will have access to all of my personal files and photos, etc. They should be able to separate the two (at least give folks with this conflict the option!).Gmail How To Access Archive

They need to find a way to allow users to disassociate one email address or another. It's called separation of work and personal life!

I have the same problem. I had two Hotmail accounts prior to enrolling in the OneDrive for Business Online. I purchased my own domain and created my email from my domain to link to my OneDrive for Business Online as my primary address.Onedrive Sync On Mac

Bluestacks AppPlayer Android Emulator. Bluestacks emulator for Mac OS. Bluestacks AppPlayer is probably the Best Android Emulator for Mac OS because it uses the unique “LayerCake” technology which allows android OS apps to be emulated and run without requiring an external Virtual Desktop Application such as Virtual Box or Vmware. Android emulator of mac.

Then I linked my other accounts as alias's (Hotmail and Gmail) to my primary email address in my OneDrive for Business Online. I started having problems logging into my OneDrive for Business after about 4 months of purchasing the subscription 3 years ago. Tech support changed my email address from OneDrive for Business to their default setting email ending in.onmicrosoft.com. HUGE MISTAKE! Now my Hotmail is not linked at all to my personal OneDrive but is the same as my OneDrive for Business email address. For some reason my Hotmail account is showing my subscriptions for my businesses ending my OneDrive for Business and all of my purchases to upgrade from Windows 10 home to Windows 10 pro.

Now I am stuck with paying for two Hotmail addresses on a yearly bases and I can't delete the emails because they have linked them to my business account. This has cost me so much of my time trying to simplify my emails yet they are as screwed up as they were 2 1/2 years ago. It is extremely frustrating.

MS needs to figure out how to switch the emails or I will be forced to drop my OneDrive for Business account. The emails also affect my log in's to my computers as I use my email address to my OneDrive as my computer log in.

This has screwed up all the computers and how they sync with OneDrive for Business and OneDrive Personal. Personally, I'm really rooting for Microsoft to make a comeback and start challenging the Android and IOS BS out there again.

I love all of my current windows devices and plan to continue using windows devices in the future. BUT, the ease of use and user friendliness desperately need revamped. In particular, the lack of ability to change the user file name on Windows 10 and the lack of ability to change linked email accounts to services (especially OneDrive) is extremely counterintuitive and contradictory to consumer needs. Your loyal patrons beseech a remedy, Microsoft, PLEASE FIX THIS!!! I think it is possible to switch e-mails, but a but roundabout method. I have a Office 365 account tied to a yahoo mail address.
